When I saw Victor Webber as Cupid on the TV show Charmed, I knew he had to be a romance character. I just didn’t know who he would be. And then one day he came to me as Cooper Flannigan and I just loved him.

Then Candace showed up and I’d seen her in a Christmas romance movie, probably on Hallmark. And I just loved her and her painful backstory.

They stewed for a good while before the story actually came to me. The closer I got to finishing the book, the sadder I got. I did not want to let them go. At the same time I also wanted them out in the world giving people an escape and tugging their heartstrings.
