Mac Mason is a private investigator with a sharp mind, a stubborn moral code, and a knack for walking the line between law and consequence. When cases cross the boundaries of the legal system — corrupt cops, silenced witnesses, powerful criminals — Mac is the one people call.
He doesn’t work alone. His small crew of trusted friends and allies — insiders, former law enforcement, and a few survivors of past crimes — provide expertise, muscle, and backup. Together, they navigate the underbelly of the city, exposing predators, unraveling schemes, and protecting those the system has failed.
Each book focuses on a new case, usually tied to a unique antagonist — a criminal mastermind, a violent syndicate, or a cunning con — rather than a mission. Mac’s investigation pulls him into danger, tests his alliances, and forces him to make choices that blur the line between right and wrong.
